* Black walnuts (there is a black walnut street tree on our our side of the avenue closer to N. Lombard) are toxic to humans. Squirrels seeem to like them, though, and crack them on the sidewalk or our driveway, leaving a black stain that takes a few rain showers to erase. * my parsing program at work is not working. I must try something else and possibly undo a lot of what I have already done. Got so close, but ran into a situation that didn't work. Just as well, I guess. The re-work, while time consuming, should simplify the program. A simple program is easier to maintain and results are also more predictable ( Read more... )

Spent yesterday and to-day working from home trying to finish a program at work which other folks need to do their jobs (and in turn, their work is needed for others to do theirs!).
